A lot has happened since my great-great-grandfather in 1868 bought the farm from his father and mother
who together with 3 children move to America.
Great-grandparents - 1895
Ola Larsen Hallsteinsgardbøkko from the farm Søre Øygarden (1851- 1939) married to Kirsti Embrikksdottir (1869-1938). Bought heimstølen Blomset for KR. 4500,- by Lars Knutson who travelled to America in 1895, for that reason as it says in the village book "He had a team to coma at odds with people".
With setra also followed Perstølen at Prestholt. Blomset then consisted of stugu, barn and fórhus. Blomset joined Søre Øygarden, later Ødegård.
In 1879, ola was a good scythe, but most famously he was the manager of the first tourist cabin that DNT built in Hol municipality in 1879, Krækja tourist cabin on the Hardagervidda plateau. On the 50th anniversary of 1929, he was awarded the King's Medal of Merit.
During this period (1871-1909), the Bergen Railway is also built. We recommend and take a look at this website to get an insight into the life of the time: www.rallarmuseet.no
Ola sold the farm in 1921 to his son Lars.
Grandparents - 1921
Lars Olson (1898-1976) takes the name Ødegård (Øygarden) as his surname after the farm. He marries Ragna Marie Larsen and has three daughters, Anna Marie, Kirsti and Emma. Lars moves the houses belonging to the farm Ødegård from the steep plot by the old Ålmannsvegen road, down to the new rich road where the farm is located to this day and where Lars Ødegård Teigen still lives.
Lars continues as manager of Krækja turisthytte, after his father. But also builds a new large private tourist cabin by the new road across the Hardangervidda plateau. Fagerheim fjellstue opened in 1936. During the war, the Germans took Fagerheim, but when freedom came, the lodge was rectified and expanded. They continue to operate both Krækja and Fagerheim next to the farm.
Lars and Ragna sell the farm to Anne Marie in 1962, but keep Fagerheim Turisthytte. The other two daughters later take over Fagerheim.
Parents - 1962
Anne Marie Ødegård (b. 1923) marries Halvor Tolleivson Teigen. They work blomset with 65 then cultivated land. As a farm, Blomset is used spring and autumn, Gamle Budalsvegen is repaired to the road and mjølka is sent to the dairy. When Fagerheim is rented out, the cows move back to Blomset. In 1975 there are 1 horse, 8 dairy cows, 3 calves and 10 sheep on the harness. The farm at Blomset continues until 1991.
They have two sons Lars and Torbjørn. And it is Lars who now comes into contact with at Blomset.
Søre Øygarden later Ødegård before it was moved down to Riksvegen where it is located today.

Odelsgut -
Like the story above, Lars was an early shepherd boy up at Blomset. Old Ødegård was moved down to rv where it is located to this day, and where Lars still lives. He is therefore never very far away if there should be anything.
Cabin rental
The service gene is also preserved. The olde and grandparents' operation of Krækja and Fagerheim Turisthytter, has been a great inspiration and lesson when it comes to welcoming their guests. There is a truth in doing what is possible for those who live in the cottages to have a good experience.
Entrepreneur
As a landowner, Lars saw the sensible thing in training as a machine operator and contractor. Several of the largest cabins in Geilo have been built, before he now sells cabins and plots at Blomset and Kikut Sør. He has become known for his thoroughness, as well as the love of what is created. When the snow falls in the winter, you meet Lars in the early morning, then he is out with the tractor so that the roads become executable.
Outdoor man
Even with long days on the farm and harness as a boy, Lars was an active cross-country skier. He is still very fond of nature and the surrounding mountains. If you live in Geilo, this is a big part of you. As a mountain man, you will find the tranquility led even further into the plateau. "Fiskehytta" an hour's walk from the road inside hardangervidda is therefore the place associated with paradise. It is also dreamed to put in place the old Perstølen at Prestholt.
